Maybe a story?

Sure,

So I leave for the great white north in the morning for the winter (I'm a ski patroller during the winter) so i was taking care of various errands, such as such as cleaning the gutters.

So in all fashion of cleaning out gutters.

I fell off the roof.
Mind you there are bushes around the house, so this wasn't as dramatic as you may think.

Things I've learned since falling off the roof:

1. bushes around the house are good, plant bushes around your house incase you have to clean your gutters.

2. just like climbing, i kinda sit there in slow motion and think "oh hey... im falling... i should probably assume the falling position now"

3. humans properly trained will land like cats, except on their back

4. falling sucks

5. get someone else to clean your gutters in fall

I know that feeling "oh hey...I'm falling."

Very enjoyable first post, glad that you are alright.

Now I remember why I pay to live in a co-op and watch other people do dangerous things.

Good idea. I've just planted some bushes around my house. Can you clean my gutter tomorrow?

I loved this post. Quite funny and man, that's got to hurt. My brother-in-law does roofing on the side and one day in the winder he fell off a roof in to a tree... a rather large branched tree. You know the kind... the one where you end up wrapping your legs around it when you fell. He's okay though. His voice is a bit higher...
