"On the Internet, a troll is a person who posts messages that create controversy or an angry response without adding content to the discussion, often intentionally.

In other words, a person with a serious inferiority complex who thinks that by creating controversy he or she can add some excitment to their boring and dull way of life.

The troll sits on the shoulder of Batman and is capable of some genius magic. However, his magic always turns out wrong in the end and sadly saddened he has to disappear by snipping his fingers.

Trolls do tend to fit into a very definate mental group, and are usually those who are lonely and who have difficulty communicating with other people in their everyday lives. They tend to hang around message boards and forums randomly insulting and belittling others in an attempt to convince themselves that they have the power to effect an emotional response. I generally feel sorry for these people, and only hope that the point comes in their lives when they stop and realise that there was so much more they could have been doing with their time.

When confronted about their behaviour, their common argument is that it's all just a bit of fun and just words on a computer screen. This is a common misconception amongst the computer illiterate, that the Internet is some sort of protective wall which allows them to say whatever they want without fear of punishment. It's not until the authorities kick down their door and arrest them for harassment that they start to understand how far these things can go.

They also tend to be of low intelligence and with little in the way of literacy, having a particularly low attention span. So if you've read this far, you're probably not a troll.
